This past week I stumbled across a lot of wonderful articles, blog posts and Youtube videos that talk a lot about the importance of positive images of feminism in the global media.

Below are a few of my favorites - grab a cup of coffee and drop by these sites over the weekend. Enjoy!

1. Emma Watson and a team of haute couture fashion designers speak with Vogue about the need for feminism, gender equality, and greater overall diversity in the fashion industry. Find the link here.


2. The Financial Diet is a gorgeous blog written by two smart and financially savvy women who address everything from creating your first budget (in a fun way!) to avoiding daily Starbucks runs by making the best at-home latte. They even have an entire "In the Kitchen" section which, as an avid foodie, is right up my alley.

3. Emmanuelle Herman's article, "Celebrating 21st-Century Feminism and Why it Matters" featured in The Huffington Post highlights some of the major feminist accomplishments over the past decade and explains the need for women and men to celebrate these victories as they come.


4. Adele Chapin from the blog "Racked" praises one of my absolute favorite bloggers, Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere. Last year, Schuman told Elle Magazine  that she is both a cupcake baker and a feminist. Emily's blog is full of fun recipes, dazzling decor and fantastic makeup tips. She is a hardworking business owner, designer, author and blogger who also loves nesting at home -- the perfect recipe for a feminine feminist.


5. "50 Women Who Changed The World" is a fun gallery full of fantastic images of suffragettes, princesses and ordinary women who made a difference.
